Built-in Electric Ovens: AEG, Bosch, Hotpoint, Neff, Smeg
ABOUT BUILT-IN ELECTRIC OVENS
Built-in electric ovens are designed to be incorporated within kitchen units; they have a finished front, but unfinished sides. They may be single or double, with or without fan and grill. Their front doors may be made of stainless steel or glass.
Factors to consider when choosing a built-in oven are capacity and energy efficiency. Some ovens have a self-cleaning feature. This uses a very high temperature cycle (about 900 degrees Fahrenheit) to burn off spills without using chemicals. Self cleaning ovens have a safety lock which keeps the oven locked during and after the burn cycle, which can last for up to three hours.
